The Struggle of Being One Punch Man
The Struggle of Being One Punch Man
Initially, being One Punch Man was a source of excitement and fun for Saitama. However, as he continued to fight horrifying monsters, he became numb to it all. There was no driving force or reason for him to continue, other than to protect the citizens of the world. Even as he accomplished great feats and took on planetary threats that other heroes couldn't imagine facing, he was still titled as a C-rank hero. What bothered him was not his title, but rather his lack of emotion. In exchange for constantly pushing beyond the limits of his capabilities, he seemed to have lost something essential for a human being- the ability to feel fear, panic, or anger when encountering monsters. He knew he could finish them off with a single punch. Even if he were to meet a powerful opponent, he would never feel satisfied because he knew he would come out on top. Unlike other heroes who had goals, missions, or positions they were trying to reach or surpass, Saitama was already at the top, and yet he felt an immense sense of boredom.
