Is Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness strange enough? Review.
After watching Avenger Endgame I have never thought that Marvel Studios will bring such a great experience again. And I was so wrong, we already had Spiderman: No Way Home and after waiting so long we finally have Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The theater was packed with Marvel fans and roaring with a high level of excitement. Firstly to understand the Multiverse of Madness you should have watched the WandaVision series. The story is a continuation of the ending of the series. This movie potentially explores the powers of the Scarlet Witch and what she is capable of. Doctor Strange aka Benedict Cumberbatch has given an outstanding performance in the movie. And Elizabeth Olsen was absolutely the center of attraction of the movie executing complex characters like the Scarlet Witch. Xochitl Gomez was amazing playing America Chavez. Of course, the presence of Benedict Wong as Wong is what made this movie complete.
Talking about the visual effect, the VFX team and artists have outdone themselves. Even a non-Marvel fan can enjoy the movie just by looking at the action scenes and visuals without knowing any context. It's a movie where visual speaks more than characters and story. The rating of the story may be different from person to person depending on how much a Marvel fan you are. If you are really into Marvel comics and other stuff then the story might be great for you. And if you are in just Marvel movies then you might find the story mediocre. This movie feels very different from other Marvel movies. It's all because this movie is directed by Sam Raimi known for making horror movies. So it has some horror elements and jumpscares. It also presents some brutal scenes openly which is rare to see in Marvel movies.
Every movie comes with flaws and Multiverse of Madness also has them. The main weak point of the movie was the character, America Chavez. They wanted to make her the charm of the movie but her character was written poorly and it failed to do so. I personally cannot connect with this character and sympathize with her. Another flaw was its run time, it should have more than that. Due to its less runtime movie seems a little rushed. Despite its flaws, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is really strange enough to enjoy in theatre. It is a crazy ride of the multiverse.
