Boruto : The power of "Karma" explained
What is Karma and how it works?
Karma aka the Karma seal is just like a compressed backup file for Otustsuki to revive in the other's body even if they are dead. It is only used by Otustsuki which makes them immortal. When Otustsuki Momoshiki was on the verge of death he implanted the Karma on Boruto so that he can be revived into Boruto's body in the future. Once the Karma is implanted the extraction of Otustsuki starts so the vessel(the body on which karma is implanted) gets more power as time progresses. When the extraction is completed vessel turns into the Otustsuki by erasing its own existence. It is important to note that if the vessel dies before the extraction completion the Otustsuki also dies.
What is the power of Karma?
As I said as the vessel dies Otustsuki also dies so Karma comes with the power to protect its vessel from any danger. The vessel can use the abilities of the Otustsuki clan as the Karma is the data of Otustsuki. Such abilities are chakra absorption and chakra dispersion. It means that Karma can absorb ninjutsu from the opponent and use it as a counter-strike. It also can easily heal the wound and regenerate. The power of karma intensifies whenever the vessel is in extreme danger or stressed situation.
What is the risk of Karma?
The purpose of Karma is to restore the life of Otustsuki. If someone is implanted with it may make them feel powerful but karma comes with greater risk that Karma tends to erase the complete existence of the vessel after the completion of extraction. The only risk from the view of Otustuki is that if the vessel dies he also dies.
